AGV K6 Nardo grey Product Description
The AGV K6 is a mid-range Sportsbike helmet that caters to pretty much any kind of rider out there. This Full-Face Helmet with an aerodynamic design and strong ventilation is sporty enough for pretty much anyone on the road. The inner liner will keep you comfortable after a full day of touring. So where does it fit in? Well coming in at 430 Euro or about 480 USD at the RRP, it sits just above the K5 S and a good 300 Euro below the Corsa R.
The helmet shell is a combination of carbon and aramid. This composite is ultra-strong and lightweight. The AGV K-6 comes in 4 different shell sizes. In the smallest shell size, the helmet will come in at around 1350 grams and clearly, that shell material is doing something right. The inner shell is made of EPS and has some really deep ventilation channels in them.
The ventilation system should be fairly familiar to anyone that has wore any of the AGV Helmets from last decade. And as anyone who has used an AGV helmet in the last decade would know, it works well. We have 2 chin vents and these are opened via a switch. Then up top we have 3 brow vents that can be opened or closed using individual sliders. We have an always open exhaust vent at the back as well. In the video of the AGV K6 Riding Test, you can see that the helmet performs great when it comes to ventilation.
The K6 visor has a wide and high view angle like the visor we can find on the AGV Pista GP R and the AGV Corsa R. The visor gives you plenty of view and is also optical class 1, which means that it has the best clarity class. The visor is anti-scratch and also anti fog/pinlock lens prepared. The helmet comes with a Pinlock Lens included in the box. Swapping the visor out is pretty easy as well, It works pretty much the same as the visor mechanism of the AGV Pista GP R.
The inner liner of the K6 comes with an emergency quick release system. Furthermore the liner is removable, washable and antibacterial as well. It consists of a mix of Ritmo and Shalimar in specific areas. The neck roll is Ritmo and artificial leather, while the cheek pads are a mix of Ritmo and Shalimar. The headliner is also made of the soft Shalimar material. When you take out the liner you can also see that the finishing quality on everything is well done.
Other Features of the AGV K6 Nardo grey
For a few other features on the K6, we have a Double-D enclosure system to keep the helmet on your head. The visor is anti scratch treated. The liner is prepared for both riders with glasses and the AGV Sena Ark communication system.
The K-6 will compete agaist other sporty mid-range full-face helmets from other quality brands. The most evident is probably the Shoei NXR helmet. They come at comparable prices and offer pretty much the same features and benefits. Other alternatives to the K6 are your typical Sport Touring helmets like Shoei GT Air 2, HJC RPHA 70, Shark Spartan Carbon, Arai Profile V.
If you want to pick up the AGV K6 full face helmet then make sure you check out the product Bundles where you will get a free Dark Visor or a great discount on the Communication System such as the Sena Ark or the Cardo Packtalk Slim. Furthermore shopping at Champion Helmets will always give you the lowest prices guaranteed and free shipping. There you’ll find some big discounts and that is where you can score a deal.
So the AGV K6 definitely lives up to its sports and touring purpose. The sporty and lightweight shell, comfortable liner, top ventilation. This all combines to make a helmet full of features and a good amount of value.
