Revit Cargo Riding Pants Review

The Revit Cargo SF pants are another product off of Revit’s 2020 Urban motorcycle wear line. SF here stands for slim fit. Clearly, these pants are in the cargo pant style, so it’s informal and relaxed apparel that you can wear how and when you like. Made of Cordura, Rev’It Cargo trousers should also give you decent protection against abrasion. They’re designed to have a slim fit and come in two leg lengths, 28-38 and 30-38. With a recommended retail price of almost 200 euros, these pants are a bargain and will be competing with the Alpinestars Copper Denim Jeans and the Alpinestars Victory Denim Jeans.

Material

The RevitCargo motorcycle pants are made of Cordura, which is a lightweight and durable nylon fabric, which also sees uses in luggage due to its high durability. On a practical note, the pockets on these pants are deep and, clearly you’re getting a good number of them with two extra button up pockets on the thighs. One of the plus sides of Cordura is that, unlike denim, it really holds its color when you put it in the wash. Nonetheless, Cordura should give you some fair abrasion resistance as well as it is less likely to tear.

Protection

For protection, the Rev’ItCargo riding pants come equipped with Revit’s SEESMART padding in the knees. This padding is light, thin, breathable, and flexible, but it is still very strong and good give you some decent protection. One thing to also keep in mind is that these pads are contoured differently for your left and right sides, so this should give you more specialized protection for each area of your body. The pants also come prepared for two CE-level 1 SEESMART pads in the hips, these need to be purchased separately, but they are a very good idea to have when out on the road.

Interior

The interior is soft and comfortable though there is no mesh liner so you may get a little bit hot in these pants. But the exterior is nice to the touch, it’s a bit textured, yet still smooth and soft. The zipper and fastenings work well, and you’ve got some beltloops going around the top of the pants. So, no complaints there other than the potential for getting a little bit hot.

Other

On a last note, these pants don’t come with Revit’s usual zipper coupling for a jacket, so you may want to consider the Revit Safeway belt to give them this functionality.

The Revit Cargo pants are a solid pair of pants. You’re getting pretty much all of the basic features from a pair of textile riding pants at a pretty fair price. Though it would’ve been nice to see the hip protection included like on other pants, these pants offer a fair bit of basic protection.
