Revit Hyperspeed Pro

Revit Hyperspeed Pro

The Rev’It Hyperspeed Pro means business, taking influence from MotoGP and copying the features from its one-piece cousin. This jacket is for people who like the features of the one piece suit but want the convenience of a separately wearable jacket. At a recommended retail price of 550 euros, or around 580 USD, this jacket will be competing with the Dainese Racing 3, Dainese Assen, Dainese Avro 4, and the Alpinestars GP Plus jackets.

Material

Starting with material, the main material used is cowhide leather, with makes up the majority of the jacket. On the sides and back of the jacket, as well as on the back of the sleeves, this leather is perforated in order to encourage airflow into the jacket. Under the armpits and down the sleeves and sides of the jacket we also find Revit’s PWR stretch Shell, which makes the jacket more flexible by providing some elasticity. We also have some 3d air mesh up near the collar, which made to maximize airflow into the jacket to help keep you cool. Lastly, the collar is made of neoprene, and is very flexible, and has REV’IT written nice and big on both sides in case you forgot whose jacket you were wearing.

Protection

As far as protection goes, the Rev’It HyperspeedPro has you covered, and this is really where you can see its moto gp influence. Not only will you find Seeflex CE level 2 protection in both the shoulders and elbows, but the shoulders come with external composite protectors taken straight from moto gp, and the elbows also come equipped with sliders. This will provide excellent impact and abrasion resistance in case of a fall. If that wasn’t enough, on the back of the jacket we see a speed hump to make you more aerodynamic out on the road. We also have the options to insert a Level 2 CE rated back protector, as well as REVIT’s divided Seesoft chest protectors.

Adjustability

Looking at the Rev’It Hyperspeed Pro’s features for comfort and adjustment, the jacket has a few areas where adjustments can be made. The jacket obviously opens and closes using a zipper, and while we don’t find any adjustments around the collar, we find zip in on both of sleeves, which will allow to easily take the jacket off and put it back on without removing your gloves, and also find adjustments can be made around the waist using the Velcro straps, which will tighten or loosen the fit. There is also a Velcro enclosure at the bottom of the zipper. Pockets can be found on both sides of the jacket, and those are accessed via zippers, which are nicely covered by leather.

Interior

The Revit HyperspeedPro has a detachable body warmer for use when the weather gets a little bit colder, that liner simply zips in, and also offers an additional internal pocket. There is a pocket to replace this one inside the main jacket should you ride without the liner, and the main jacket also has an internal pocket on the side near the zipper. If you remove the body warmer, you find that the internal liner of the jacket is made of mesh to encourage airflow inside the jacket. At the bottom of the jacket on the back you find a connection zip for if you want to connect the jacket to a pair of Revit riding pants.

The Revit Hyper Speed Pro jacket does a good job providing us with the features of a one piece suit in a more convenient package. It offers great sport and racing features and excellent protection.
